1) Hello from Brazil ! Some of you know something about brazilian music? What bands?
Stanze here, hello from Whale's Vagina(German for San Diego), America! Musik from Brazil? If it rocks, has passion, fire and attitude sign me up! Everyone in America knows who SEPULTURA is!

2) Tell us about the background of each Estha's member, where you're from, favorites bands and other influences:
stanze: (vox1, git1) : I was born in the Phillippines and grew up(some would debate that I ever grew up) in America. I went around saying that I was the Brian Wilson of the group, until I found out that Brian Wilson didn't write the lyrics to some of my favorite Beach Boys songs, I don't know if that's true or not,...so now I just say, I'm the Stanze of the band/Charismatic frontman/Blah, blah, blah, etc.
mishey: (git2, vox2): Mishey is the Rockstar of the band, she really doesn't give a fuck about anything other than drinking and stomping your ass if you get in her face with your bullshit. She looks like Lucy from Peanuts. She's a big fan of classic rock, we have been feeding her a constant stream of non-played out musik for the last few years though.
burro: (bass, keys, vox3): Burro is the most formidable looking member of the esthas, he plays left-handed bass like Macca(Beatles), I consider that a good-luck charm...last Halloween Burro was masked a Mexican Wrestler...he wears the mask while shagging and to Los Straitjackets shows.
gigo: (kick, snare): What can be said about Gigo? He's one of the greatest drummers in the world and looks like Freddie Mercury of Queen, what a sweet bonus!

3) Where the band lives in US? You use to travel a lot to performe shows?
We live in the Indie-Rock Mecca of San Diego, California known as North Park, or as I like to call it, "Thepoorgayman'shillcrest". The farthest we've traveled for a gig was Las Vegas, but we'll fly anywhere in a single-engined chartered airplane in bad weather, cos' that's the safest form of travel for musicians.

4) What is your relation with supercult, and with altporn in general? What you think about have you song in a movie with naked girls?
Chase Lisbon approached the esthas about using our song, Fuck It in one of their promotional ads, our song Falling Awake Sleeping Again was also used in one of their videos. I have seen both videos and speaking from the guy who wrote the songs in question I felt our material was represented in a artsy way, and not sleazy which is what I had reservations about, but something told me to trust Chase and he did a proper job! Alt. Porn in general? How did that happen? Was she wearing a strap-on or sumptin'? General Lee?

5) When the band starts?
We officially became the esthas on March of 2005. We were named after a Fox 6 TV News Reporter in San Diego, Estha Trouw. I dug her Pixie hairstyle!

6) What is the "myspace.com" importance for indie music scene in US? What interesting things are happing nowadays to promote the underground culture?
Great question! Myspace is the best thing that happened to Indie Musicians....I listen to all this great music on Myspace all day! Scarling., HIM, My Chemical Romance, The Clems, Of Worlds Long Dead, the esthas as well as all the local bands in San Diego's like, Sweetness, The Pinwheels, The Power-Chords, The Perfect Face For Radio....hardly any of these bands are on the radio cos' of the greedy politics, corporate stranglehold they have on the listening audience(you won't believe it! They constantly play the same fuking songs from the 80's and 90's on the so-called Alternative radio here, fuking torture!!!), so yeah...I think Myspace is the next step to bringing great musik to the people that want to hear it! It amuses me to no end that Famous bands are just catching up and signing up! The Indie bands have way more fans and comments than these bands who are quite frankly on the way out on their bloated drunken bored millionare rock star asses! Fuking revolution mate!

7) The band components have a Latin Origin? Is there some king of prejudice in the "scene"?
Well, I would open my big fat mouth and say that the people that run things tend to lean towards a more "marketable"/"mainstream" image....interpet that as you will, who's fault is it? The Marketer? or demand that breeds concerns about predudice. Fine, whatever...I just wish they wouldn't hype a shite band just because they are young, beautiful and "marketable". But, hey! There's musik, and there's the music business. And, why is it called Blacklisted? Sumptin' to think about eh?

8) What is the main subject in Esthas Lyrics? Why?
Another great question! I(Stanze) write most of the lyrics...the main subject is whatever muse or inspiration I get that captures the moment. I've been writing songs since high school, and being a kid with no world experience I wrote tons of songs about love and angst...and most of them were clique shite! I was learning....what not to do! I was fortunate to be in a band with Roman Dirge during the early 90's called, Of Worlds Long Dead, Dirge- the creator of the comic book Lenore is a creative genius...our chemistry and innovation in OWLD taught me a lot about giving lyrics your own twist. For example, I make it a point not to rhyme so much, cos' when Raven formerly of Black Rose pointed out that her band rhymes too much...I looked at my own lyrics and the lyrics of other bands...and yanno, some of the fucking non-stop rhyming started annoying the shit out of me! I've also written songs where each verse had a different melody...and Fuck It? That was inspired by "The Chanter" character on the "Conan O'Brien" show, being a former screamer in Of Worlds Long Dead, the powerful vocal delivery came natural to me.

9) What is the band opinion about the government issues involving US and the rest of the world?
*sigh* We all have different viewpoints in the band, we are all mates and get along anyways and wish the U.S. and world would do the same. Less fighting, more toasting! Mikhail Kalashnikov, inventor of the AK-47 Assualt-Rifle said something to that effect in his older years. Other than that, pretty much no comment. Being alienated over political views can make you miss out on some great musik among other things in life.

10) What was the best memory regarding shows and the band history?
Being paid for a gig is alway's a best memory, food tastes better paid for with money earned doing what you love. We live in the moment, our mission is to have a good time all of the time, so there!
